Certificate in American Sign Language: Designed for students seeking expertise in the linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions of American Sign Language (ASL) and the Deaf community. Courses offer training in the fundamental aspects of ASL structure and vocabulary, while also exploring the social and cultural issues affecting the Deaf community. This program prepares students to engage effectively with the Deaf community and to understand the broader cultural context of ASL.
 

Criteria

  1. Complete the four courses listed below with a minimum 3.0 GPA in each.
  2. Attend at least one Deaf event and write a 300-500 word report on your experience.
